I'm thinking about using some reference backgrounds that I researched, and they're good, but I don't know which one I should use for my new art!

Frankly Mindchamber's artwork fits quite nicely your style, I always loved his urban environments rich of this late 90s aura around them. "Arcade background" by GlitchArtTV is very cool too. I like these two the most but I slightly lean for Mindchamber's work.
I'm also in doubt about these two! Mindchamber's art is super incredible!
@CaioAdriel2006 Yeah, he's amazing with his ability to create complex cityscapes without sacrificing the cartoony feel they have, not to mention how I freaking love his way of making robot and robotic stuff. Simply enchanting and inspiring *_*
Of course GlitchArtTV is superb too especially with combining neat and clean linearts with vibrant colours that never tire the eye of the viewer.
Yes, they are both incredible!
No wonder I gave them credits!
@CaioAdriel2006 I forgot to add that another reason why I slightly lean for MindChamber is that your character's outfit and colours fit well with the environment of his work. I see a chromatic harmony that makes him pleasant to look at.

Tough choice o.o personally like A and B ^-^ A, because it suits your style and works with the color schemes; B because it feels nostalgic and is recognizable - feels fitting for the concept ^-^
All the bg look awesome so it is a tough choice, but those two really stood out :D
